I have been on Depo Provera for a total of 10 years. I broke off of the Depo after year 6 1/2 because of the gnarly weight gain. I went on the pill and lost about 20lbs in 2 months. However, since I was so not used to getting a period and counting pills, I became pregnant in a about a month. I consider myself lucky as my cylcle returned quickly and I seemed "normal" However, has your cycle returned? They say it takes about a year. But take it from someone who got pregnant in month 2! LOL
