does getting a tounge ring really hurt? and what do you think about girls that have them?

Yes. It hurts really bad, but if done correctly will only be nearly unbearable for the first few minutes. It will be very sore and swollen for about 2 weeks. Your speech will sound a little muffled and you have to be religous about washing your mouth out with listerine (up to 8 times a day or more).

I think you need to worry more about what you think of yourself with a tounge ring rather than what anyone else thinks. Will it be appropriate for the goals you have established for yourself in the near future? The good news is, once you are no longer comfortable with it (if ever) you can easily remove it and the hole will close up.

NO it doesn't hurt I had my tongue pierced twice because the first time I took it out and let the hole closed up. I am an almost 30 professional woman and my tongue is pierced and it doesn't look trashy I have a small simple ball in and what matters is that my hubby thinks it's sexy.

Yes, it hurts. It is unattractive and unhealthy. Think about all the things you put in your mouth. Now think about your refrigerator. Got anything in there that's been there a little too long, a little green and fuzzy? People who get tongue rings are more susceptible to all kinds of germs, viruses, etc.

My suggestion: go visit your dentist and talk to him/her about a tongue ring before you get one.

Yeah it hurts, but i like pain, so i didnt really mind it, i sorta liked it. And most people think that i suck....i do, but most people with tongue rings are put in the category to give oral sex.
