My husband has two kids with his ex. He has paid maintenence for them since they split 6 yrs ago and we have them every other weekend. Now because we offered to take the kids on holiday (which she said no to) she thinks we should pay her more. The CSA want my earnings and although i love the kids and am happy to buy them stuff (it would be me paying for the holiday) I don't think i should have to give her money. I work really hard (she doesn't work and lives with her non working husband - they have another child too) I really don't want to give my earning details to the CSA. My husband is happy to give his details (and for the record when she asks for more money, he gives it to her) Does anyone have any suggestions?

Consult with a reputable, knowledgeable attorney to determine what your rights are. In my state your earnings are not necessarily taken into account when the issue of child support arises but it matters who pays for what bills in the household (is the husband paying, etc). Good luck and God Bless.

Don't worry about it, give the info and a complete record of whats been paid to date. Give details of everything! including all the extras and costs involved for you to have the kids at the weekends..

I would seek a lawyers advice on this one. Its seems dodgy that she now wants your earnings as well.. sounds like she wants to get money from you as well. also i agree with the answer above. Make sure your husband writes down everything extra he gives her.

My advice don't give out any details until you have sought the advice of a lawyer

tell that nosy biotch to get lost. she shoudl be grateful that someone cares enough about her children to take them on holiday. thats none of her business how much you make. tell her she can go stick it. if she says no to the holiday then case closed. move on. shes only taking away from her kids and her children will grow to resent her for being such a gold digger.

dont see that they have any right to ask you for your wages. sounds dodgy, for a start any extra money your hubby forks out should be noted down in all this also...think about it..
