They did not play upto their level. Just before the WC they were playing at least better than WC . I think.. there is something going on among players. It's not poor performance but they consider themself above country.
If you have watched the game, you could see that.

It was really disappointing. That wasn't the real India, definitely not the team I was hoping to see. They looked very unprepared and seemed to mentally give up on a game half way. After a few wickets would fall, it felt like the players would think 'What's the point in trying now anyway?'

Indian cricketers are the best people in the world.....They were aware that whole of India were having exams in March - April. They made a quick exit, so that people don't stay up late & watch the stupid game...instead concentrate on their studies...

India performed below their ability in this world cup. after wining the 1983 WC indians are always considered a better contender in WC.

Really unexpected!!!!
After having won some of the previous matches,i thought things were looking up for the team.But no,they had to lose, even though they were up against countries like Bangladesh!!

they played very well, just as the bookies ordered them to do, they were excellent, they knew exactly how to lose.
they are the best in business when it comes to losing,
