The force of the roller is the weight plus the vertical component of the gardener force

W = 70kg * 9.8m/s^2 = 686 N
G = +/- 200N * sin(45) = +/- 141 N

When he pulls, G is negative and

F = 686N - 141N = 545 N

When he push, G is positive and

F = 686N 141N = 827 N

The force of the roller without the push or pull is
70*g
Using g=10
700N

When the force pulls the roller it lightens the vertical reaction force of the roller with the ground by 200*sqrt(2)
700-200*.707

When the force pushes the roller it increases the vertical reaction force wit the ground by 200*sqrt(2)
700+200*.707
