Dude, my straight mother wanted to turn me into a lesbian. She told me that she would prefer it. Well I got it half right...
BTW: in what world, Hetero or not, does sex have to do with raising kids? I sooooo did not want to even imagine my parents going at it, and it had nothing to do with the values instilled in me.

Right, so logically straight parents only have straight kids, huh?
So, how do these jerks explain where most of today's adult gays/lesbians come from?
My parents were straight, but I am gay. AND THEY'RE STILL MARRIED!
I'm Gay but my son is straight. He has been raised by TWO lesbians! ...and We've been together for over ten years. His father was married FOUR TIMES before he turned 30! {Talk about a real looser! }
It's quite obvious who was the real influence in my son's life...my partner and I, but again...he's STRAIGHT.
So where's the correlation here? Oh, that's right...there is none.
Oh, and btw: I DIDN'T CHOOSE TO BE GAY...it's not a "personal choice" at all! It's simply a part of what makes up a person.

Following that logic, straight parents would turn their kids straight, but we're still here, so what happened?
Sexuality is fundamental, and barring some horrifically screwed up interference it cannot be changed in the slightest.
Gay parents cannot raise gay children, it's impossible.
Go here, it talks of studies on kids of GLBT parents.

That old question!
If it was true then as both my parents were heterosexuals why is it that i am not one as well.
I have never come across gay kids with gay parents in my 60+ years of life

The nature versus nurture arguement! Personally I don't agree with your statement. Kids will chose their own path regardless of their parents being or not being gay.
I have a close member of my family who's gay - and that hasn't affected the way I think of him at all.
And I'm straight, so ....

I don't, My Uncle was gay and he and his other half raised 5 children and only 2 of them turned out gay. I don't think parents raise gay kids, I think it is a choice on the behalf of the kids.
And if they tried, the choice is still the kids.

Not possible homosexuality is the result of an imbalance of hormones during pregnancy. You have to be born like that
