making stuff for your mom/dad as a kid? like macaroni necklaces, drawings, etc. what did you make? i made a ceremic pencil holder shaped like a mushroom, the spots on the mushroom was where you put the pencils.

I was in grade school many eons ago...but, I still remember making Valentines Day Cards for my Mother with Lace glued on all around the outside edge. The card was in the shape of a heart. I was so proud of the details.
P>S> I also remember weaving an Easter basket out of construction paper and making those Christmas tree rings....

I made them a Ceramic Kitten, during Vacation Bible School. I was all of 12 Years old then. Dad put it up on the Fireplace for everyone to see. I was so proud, too.

I made an ashtray with clay rolled into balls for my dad when I was 5. My mom hated it because she didn't like my dad smoking. But the last time I visited her, she had it on her dresser.

I made a jewelry box, for my mother in second grade. It was a cigar box, with macaroni glued all over it, spray painted gold, and lined with red felt. she had it for years, the only thing I ever made her that she kept.

Yes I remember doing that.
I just did that this year with my daughter. She made my husband a birthday card. We put a lot of time and thought into it and he really liked it.

i made my dad a fathers day card
it looked like a shirt, i hade some black material and covered the card with it and i made a tie out of aluminum foil! he loved it he still has it

oh yeah and ashtrays and birdhouses, etcs. For some reason my favorites were always the turkeys you made by tracing your hand and then decorating them. Ahhh, good times, good times.
