Because Bill USED the military to fight bogus wars to divert attention from the "Monica" scandal and the blue dress.

President Bush uses the military to fight for freedom and justice and our men and women in the military respect him and his mission.

Hiya Killa,

First, I have to say that I have absolutely NO respect or admiration for Clinton OR his wife. That being said...your question is based on an urban legend. I'll cite the website "www.truthorfiction.com"

Marines At the White House Are Showing Respect for George W. Bush That They Did Not Show to President Clinton-Fiction!

Summary of eRumor:
The eRumor claims that the Marines of the presidential "Marine One" helicopter are showing George W. Bush greater respect than they did Bill Clinton. It says that recently, the Marine who met the president as he stepped off the helicopter faced President Bush even as the president walked away...something that was not done during the previous presidency.

The Truth:
Harry Levins of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch looked into this one and found it fiction. In an article from March 10, 2001, he quotes a spokesperson from Marine Corps headquarters as flatly denying the eRumor. The spokesperson said the Marines assigned to the president's helicopter have a protocol for greeting the president and have used it equally for both Mr. Clinton and Mr. Bush. That is that the Marine at the bottom of the steps salutes the president. As soon as the salute is returned, the Marine does a right face to face the president's back. The Marine holds that position until the president "has moved a comfortable distance away."

Any Marines departing from that would not be disrespecting the man, but the presidency, and that would not be tolerated.

Hope this answer helps.

wow, this is proof of how the "right" confuses, twists, and lies. This is 100% b.s. If you guys would ever take the time to check out the b.s. you might actually find the truth. What you have said is a completely wrong. It is not true. Check out urban legends or snopes.com or any site that sets people straight on the facts and you will find out it is not true. Even if a military person wanted to do what you suggest , they would not. They are more disciplined than that. Not only that, they respect the office, even if they don't respect the man. Please don't post something that isn't true. Many morons believe crap like that.

Another urban legend story used as fact from a Clinton hater, imagine that. These days, it's like an epidemic. Before you post any more items you think are true, let me tell you ahead of time. Clinton Hit List? Debunked. Hillary Clinton/Black Panther/Paul Harvey story? Debunked. Clinton's stole items from the White House when they left? Debunked. This piece of trash? Debunked.

Sadly, it does it's job though doesn't it? Look at the number of answerers who just take it as true without even checking, and use it as an opportunity to rag on Clinton. Yet, when it comes to Bush they scream "PROOF WE WANT PROOF!" What a pathetic bunch...

It is not true. The military honor guard corps consists of the best of the best. They do not let politics enter into it. They are honorable. Even if they hate the guy they honor his office.

I never heard anything about that, do you have any links to support this? If it's true, it makes sense to me since Clinton raped the military.

You are partially correct.
Clinton did not salute the military member.
It is required of all military to salute their superior officers.
Clinton detested the Military, as did his lovely wife, who often berated the servicemen stationed in and around the whitehouse. Both are pigs.
