These were actually Charlton Heston's words and I'm sure the minute he forgot who he was, due to Alzheimer's, it was easy to pry that gun from his warm living hand.
The fact is that Christ said: "He, who lives by the sword, shall die by the sword."
I'm sure that in this case, you can replace the word "sword" with "gun."
