depending on the nature of the Crime, yes. I think that once you have been charged and gone in front of Juvenile Judge 3 times, you know how to play the system, and you are doing just that, so for me if you are charged with a crime 3 times as a Juvenile, you should then face "Adult" punishment, to say the least. I think depending on the crime there are cases where the seriousness of the crime, should automatically place you in the Adult system, and you should face the full punishment of what he has done. There are detention centers near me, that hold minors until they are of age to go to prison.

I think it should depend on the crime. For instance if a teen hunted some one down just to kill them and really planned it then yes. If a teen accidentally killed some one then no. I think it should depend on the crime and if there was malice.I think if a teen can get help( counseling, rehab for drugs or alcohol) etc...then we should do that as a preventive measure. If we can help more now then hopefully they won't go on to commit worse crimes and end up in the prison system.

Too vague and not enought information. Cases are determined by age of the teen, the mentality of the teen and the charges as to whether or not should be tried as an adult.

Very vague question there. Teenagers range in age from 13-19. That is a vast difference. At one end is a full-fledged grown legal adult; at the other is a child who in many cases isn't far removed from infancy. Their crimes can range from stealing a piece of candy to murder or rape. More info please.

The punishment should fit the crime, if teenagers are committing adult crimes, like cold blooded murder than they should be tried as adults and sent to prison.

particular, I do think of they might desire to be sent to grownup detention center. detention center may be a violent crime deterrent; it may serve to teach others a lesson which you would be able to no longer injury out with a important legal, in case you honestly dedicated the legal. optimistically, detention center may be someplace the place the legal criminal can, if accessible, be rehabilitated (or, in case you will, rehabilitate himself or herself). What do *you* think of? merely askin', it incredibly is all.

no. they are still young and havent really begun thier lives yet. i was in and out of lock ups from ages 12 -almost 18 but i turned my life around and havent even talked to anybody who works for the law since i been out. and i dont know about other states but in indiana we have juvinile prisons. but you dont get sent their because you did a big crime. you get sent their because they tried everything they could t keep you out of trouble. if you watched MTV juvies you might have heard some people talking about girl school or boys school. that what they call it. when you are young you are still learning whats wrong and whats right and sometimes you have to test the waters before you know for sure. that and its illegal to house juviniles with adults unless the juvinile is waived to adult courts.
