Bearing in mind that the average speed of a tortoise is 0.02 mph and the distance between John O Groats and Lands End is 839.1 miles, it'd take 41955 hours or 1748.125 days or 4.79 years of non stop walking!

Ah sorry, thats using roads, not the most direct route - hope it gives you an idea though

It would die before it got there, squashed under the wheels of a Eddie Stobart truck, and eaten by scavengers as road kill. Sorry to be the giver of such bad news, but thats life. (Or death in your tortoise's case.) ♂
