The funny thing...he inadvertantly unites gay people & straight people who have issues w/ gays...despite our differences of opnion, we can all agree that Fred Phelps is a monster.
But yeah...the Westboro Baptist Church is going to picket the funerals of the shooting victims. Just when you think the tragedy couldn't get any worse...

Is he really going to do that? I haven't heard anything about that yet. I should go check his website to see if that is true.
But as the posting above me says, Phelps has never used logic or intelligence before!
EDIT -- I did go check out his website. It seems, if I understood it correctly, that he says that this happened because schools are teaching kids to go against God's ways. I'm not sure what he actually meant by this, but he probably means that schools accept gays, since he and his church seems to be obsessed with who I sleep with. Much more than I am!

My hope is that someday the members of Westboro Baptist church will get the opportunity to picket at Fred Phelps funeral.

Well he's picketed the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq with posters and signs saying "Thank God for IED's", he's picketed the funerals of the victims of the Amish community shooting in Pennsylvania, he's picketed school board meetings, he picketed Correta Scott King's funeral...the man is a lunatic...along with his whacked out family/congregation.

i like the folk who gown up as angels with massive wings and stand in front of him while he "protests." Their wings are so great which you will no longer be able to make certain Phelps and his hate-crammed signs and indicators by using them, and that they many times sing hymns so as which you will no longer be able to take heed to Phelps yelling. i've got faith that those silk-winged human beings are the only angels who ever walked the earth, and that they have got executed such good for the human beings who're mourning their companion and toddlers and don't might desire to be bombarded with Phelps' hatred. possibly, in case you felt a might desire to mark his dying, you may desire to gown as one in all those angels at his funeral and sing a hymn.

These people are to be pitied, they're so far gone it's sad. They DO get a choice, they don't have to hate, it's not in their nature.
So we don't get a choice about being GLBT, but they choose to hate us. Weird I think.
But yeah, I don't much care, they're doing us a favour really. The worse they get, the better we look.

I can see no logic or connection to the VA shootings here. But then again, I have never seen anything from this group as logical, only hate-filled.
