If you can't tell. . . .I'm frickin outraged at many of you . Just what kinda people rush so quickly to judgment, and try to politicize a tragedy , over the DEAD CORPSES of our youths at Va. Tech ?
Now ABC News reporter, Chuck Gowdy, is reporting that this shooter was treated for depression and friends described him in a deep state of depression .
If you're not one of the people politicizing this tragedy, then please ignore the following question !!
Just how sick , demented, and judgmental do you have to be to try an further your stupid political cause over the DEAD CORPSES of our youth ?
Go ahead and answer. . . .. I'll be throwing-up for awhile !!!

Tangerine - just to be clear , there is no jest in my question other than trying to show how stupid it would be to ban depressed people .

The next week is going to be miserable for you and others who live and thrive in the common sense world. The terrible, and I mean terrible tragedy in Virginia, will be spun off into more agendas and angles than you can ever imagine.
It will begin with gun control advocates exploiting the deaths to pursue their agenda, pro gun folks will exploit the deaths to arm every college student, some TV investigator will point out that your local colleges have NO PLAN in the event of a similar crisis. Police will be portrayed as inept. The next cover of Newsweek?: How safe are college campuses? The New York Times will blame it somehow on President Bush and his 'policies' and the Washington Times will blame it on former President Clinton and his 'cuts' or 'lack of funding'.
All the Presidential candidates will be asked to weigh in, each will have an angle. And every newspaper columnist that wrote about Imus last week will flap his wings and beak this one to pieces this week.
George Will will compare it to baseball. Ellen Goodman will chime in on the female victim angle. Michelle Malkin will look at how the killer got special treatment because he was a minority and should never have been in the school or in the country. Body counter Frank Rich will say this constitutes a (month's) (bi-weekly) (every other Friday last September) death toll for American soldiers but Dick Cheney isn't demonized like the Virginia killer is. Rosie will say this happens all the time in Baghdad why aren't we outraged then and on and on. The 9/11 truthers will say this was all concocted to take away from Alberto Gonzalez' testimony.
American media, American politics. Take tragedy. Add spices. Present the public with your own special suffering souffle.
For most of us, though, this is what it is. It's a psycho who killed people. It's a terrible tragedy. There's no larger meaning. There's no hidden cause. It's another punk who couldn't hang on and deal with reality so he killed everyone in sight. There are a million people as angry as he is who don't kill people. There are Americans every day who deal with issues a hundred times worse than he, and they don't massacre. Let's say he's mentally ill. Well if mental illness is what kills we'd all be dead. Half the country suffers from some form of mental illness. Throw whatever excuse you have: drugs, depression, guns, bullying, persecution, broken heart..and I can name a hundred people just like the killer who haven't harmed a soul.
So save yourself some time. Hug your kids and your spouses and, if work rules allow, your coworker, and thank Jesus or whomever else you worship that you weren't at Virginia Tech on Monday morning. Pray for the victims and their families and the family of the killer. And know this probably isn't going to happen to you, or your kid, or your community. It's rare. It's impossible. It's tragic. And it's not even close to being what your world is all about.

Certainly it was a tradgedy, and certainly news stations are trying to "sensationalize" it for further ratiings... heck, weren't we all tired of Anna Nicole Smith?
But I share in your anger and frustration. I read through a lot of these answers here and it just looks like a lot of people are conflicted about what to think.
The truth is, you are right--we should not rush to judgement on the issue. Heck, the police on the scene are still trying to figure out what exactly happened and why, and they have more evidence than all of us!
I say we should back off and let the police do their work. Believe it or not, they actually want to get to the truth. Watch them? Sure, no problem. Report the news? Of course.
The word "news" believe it or not originated as the plural of "new" as in "what's new" -- "news" is not repeating the same thing over and over again for ratings.

at the same time as the Nazi's did ban books in addition they burned them. Banning a e book isn't Nazism, there's a lot extra to it than that. Now, banning books is incorrect. i do not realize why it truly is even legal. i imagine that is going adversarial to the bill Of Rights. I appeared throught the e book you said i idea it grow to be stupid, yet when my son had to envision it i might want to enable him and motivate him to finish that. in basic terms because i don't love it does no longer recommend my son might want to no longer take excitement in it. those mom and dad that desire to restrict the books are unintelligent. also they are narrowminded. i ask your self in the experience that they enable their children to envision the bible. there is an outstanding variety of unhappy and scary issues contained in the bible and yet church homes pontificate to envision it. those are an same church homes that say now to not allow your newborn to envision Harry Potter. The bible speaks of a lot violence, sex, the global being destroyed, cities being destroyed and it is going on and on. The killing of Jesus is extremely painful to envision. i imagine that banning any e book is incorrect. in the experience that they are allowed to restrict one e book the position will they stop? And if a e book makes a baby depressed then there is something incorrect with the newborn. he's of route depressed about something else and some area of the e book may have reminded him of a tragic area of his personal existence. i imagine mom and dad desire to stop this, you are able to not safeguard your children from each little component. If there is something in a e book, mag, newspaper or action picture that upsets a baby then the be certain needs to manage that and talk with them and locate out what's quite occurring. do no longer BAN BOOKS.

You just posted a lot of reasons why I stopped watching the news in general a long time ago. I refuse to buy into the hype and fear. The only thing worse than the television coverage is the fools on here who are disrespecting the deceased with there childish fifth grade banter. Have some respect for the dead people.

Oh Dear....you're tossing your cookies??
Here's my Pepto....
Those who are using this to further their sick, little, unimportant views are just sick themselves!!
Political agendas have NO place whatsoever in this tragedy!
And enough with the shooter....how about the poor, innocent college students just trying to get an education...WHAT ABOUT THEM???
Sorry...went off on a tangent there for a second.

the best is the girl that uses your question to politicize it further by agreeing with you and then goes spinning off... LOL!!
This is a 'social' q-n-a and this is a "Social" event in that, it is headline news.. So I guess it's inevitable that it gets worked into the days grind.. let's face it, this isn't the Most civilized place on the internet.

Did you hear Rosie O' Donnell's bullsh!t this morning?
Just throwing a little gas into the fire.
I'm very disappointed in how the people in the media handle these things. It's un-d@mn-believeable.

I think it is normal for people to want to point a finger during a crisis such as this. You are right, I am amazed at the people wanting to know if he was on anti depressants or depressed like that will explain or exonerate him or something. Personal responsibility is becoming lost. Just like the Imus outrage, the next story will replace this one too.

I got depressed once. I did not kill anyone, in fact I stayed in bed most of the time. Drugs had no effect, what worked was I finally realized I am responsible for myself and that the depression was a result of trying to be a victim
gee maybe that is why democrats and socialists are always depressed, their victims
