Yes, every morning. I first say hello to the receptionist on my way to my office. Then I say hello to my co-worker, with whom I share an office, then I say hello to everyone else as I see them during the day. There's only 14 of us so we're pretty tight-knit.

Every morning I'll usually say "morning" to my two offices co-workers as they come in. A little more enthusiastic to the main boss a little later and will use his name.
When I was in school I never said anything like that. The teacher might.

Always. When coming in for the day and coming back from lunch. Sometimes after coming back from the bathroom. It seems odd not to acknowledge others when entering a room.

If someone is there to say hello to, I find I'm the one always adressing people saying hello to them? Not vice versa, in all situations?

yes I do, but almost everyone does. I think it's a cultural thing. For instance, I've been told that Mongolians don't do that normally (outer Mongolia anyway, not sure about inner).

No, I just skitter over to my desk, duck my head behind the cubby wall and wait for 5 oclock.
