I think this is another reference to a song I don't know, but here goes:
What we give comes back to us. Sometimes it's a long wait before we get what we deserve.
But when it comes, and we recognize it for what it is, it is the most rewarding feeling.
I had to learn to accept the love people were giving me; thought I was only to be the giver.
My "reward": I feel I receive more love back than I have ever given out.
