I thought it was quite appropriate.

This is what was said yesterday immediately after the shootings.
P.S. I'm not making this up.
"The president believes that there is a right for people to bear arms, but that all laws must be followed," spokeswoman Dana Perino said

Elmar - This is exactly my point. People who advocate stronger gun control aren't after you. Stop being so paranoid. You think stronger gun controls are evil but invading a helpless country and killing innocent civilians (and twisting intelligence to justify doing so) is a legitimate method of protecting Americans. You're completely upside down.

How funny. A "liberal" is anyone who disagrees with anything a self-proclaimed "conservative" thinks. I mean, we all know there is no such thing as a conservative that's in favor of stronger gun control.

I'm sure his father must have cringed at that action.
After all, George Bush Sr. stormed out of his lifetime NRA membership after their power mad leadership became critical of his Justice Department going after criminals and child abusers who needed to be rounded up.
I joined the former President Bush and quit the NRA, along with several of my gun owning friends over that stupidity.

Yes Bush is a good man it was just his way of saying if the NRA ruled then these ducks in the shooting gallery would have been carrying a gun and could have defended themselves.

It was actually quite disgusting. If this tragedy cannot wake these people up to the dangers of readily available weapons, nothing will. The NRA needs to get behind some real, common sense gun control legislation, they should not resist all gun control policies.

The NRA, nor Bush, nor the gun until the trigger was pulled killed anyone. The young man did. End of story. Any criminal intent on committing a crime using one will get one. We need tougher laws on those who misuse them.

Oh yes!
The N.R.A. has supported bush since long before bush was arrested for drunk driving.
It is very appropriate for him to tip his hat to them, after all they give him big buck$ from their collections for membership.
