1. Backup your important files to CD / Flash Memory before u proceed to next step.

2. Create win98se Bootable disk, if u dont have, it get one from here www.bootdisk.com

3. Boot ur computer from newly created win98se boot disk. Remove ur existing partitions by using Fdisk / PQ Magic or similar programs.

4. Create 2 or more partitions using Fdisk / PQ Magic or some other similar programs to create the paritions program should works on Dos mode since we are using win98 boot disk.

5. Format ur "C" Drive to "Fat32" and run Win98 setup, install Win98se to "C" Drive

4. After Win98 Setup is completed, Insert Winxp Boot CD in the CD Rom drive and restart ur computer.

5. If ur Winxp is a Bootable CD, and if u have setted ur bios to Boot from CD Rom as First Boot device, during computer start u will get a message displayed saying "Press Any key to boot from Cd..." press "Enter" to proceed .

6. During WinXp Setup Wizard while choosing the Partitions to Install Winxp choose the "D" Drive and format this drive using "NTFS" Format and continue to setup.

7. At frequent restarts during Winxp setup "Do not press any keys" when u see a message "Press any key to boot from CD" if u do so it will start the setup wizard to start from beginning, just wait for few seconds this warning message will disappear to continue the remaining setup.

8. After Winxp Setup is completed successfully whenever u start ur PC. u will have a Boot Menu to choose either "Win98" or "Windows Xp" to start.

Hope this helps you.

I think u should get XP and VISTA.. no 98 ... but still follow this step for ur wish
first back up ur important data files to CD..
then keep ready 2 disc one of win98 se (bootable) an other of WINxp..(bootable or non-bootable doesnt matter-have a way to install )
1) boot ur PC from CD drive with win 98 bootable disk in it...
2) then delete the win xp partition ( which u have alreay installed).. if its NTFS partition then do it with WINXP bootable and format that partition with FAT32..
3) u should have atleast 2 partition for dual booting( one partition do... but may creat problem in long run... its in deep- next time)
4) instal windows 98 on the first partition... install drivers and software what ever u want..
5) now boot with win xp disk and select the other partition for install. not the win98 partition, ok..

if u dont have win xp bootable.. then just boot to win98 then run setup from winxp installation file..
when ask for upgrade.. dont select it.. select new installation... and install XP on diffrent partition..
its is possible to install win98se and winxp on same partition.. but as the 'program files' folder are same.. so it creates problem in some time.. so install on diffrenet partition.
that's it..
hopes u will get success

In order to have two versions of Windows running, you must have two hard drives. You would install WIndows 98SE on the first hard drive. Make sure it boots and works with 98.

Then install Windows XP. During the install it will ask where you want to install it. Tell it the second hard drive. It will then install to the second drive and then add a little menu so that whenever you start the computer, you will be able to tell it which version of Windows to load.

Why do not you merely deploy digital laptop or VMWare and run the two XP and Server 2003 (XP on the actual hardware and Server 2003 in a VM - 2003 won't be meant for use as a laptop - it extremely is completed, besides the fact that it is not meant to be.

backup your data to cd or hard drive

format your hard drive (fat32 is a bit easier to work with)

partition your hard drive into 2 partitions (i always keep the os files on separate partitions)

install windows 98

after you're done installing win98, boot off the winxp cd

install winxp as a new installation (not the upgrade!). install it to your 2nd partition.

after you're down, you should have 2 os's on the boot menu
