they shouldnt have sat for 2 hours while the guy was holding them hostage and then shot the people ran across campus and did it again if i was the parents or wives of the students i would sue the school and the police department and anyone else who knew that this was happening and wait 2 hours to do something are you kidding me? theres a gun man running around a college campus? and you wait 2 hours ? and how the hell did he get a gun on campus? dont they have any security? if not they should get some or get better security like metal detectors like in air ports and scan bags i mean its a shame that this happend but we live in a world that some people are more violent when they get angry over a bad grade or if a girl rejects them there are some people that go over the edge and with the tuitions that the parents and students pay to send there kids here i think there should be better security then what they have they should also reserve a right to search dorm rooms once a month to make sure no students have guns or any other weapons in posession i mean this to me i feel shouldnt have gotten to the point it did 2 hours could have saved alot of peoples lives they should have acted as soon as they heard took out the gun man and had him put in a padded cell

I feel sad that this is what our world has come to.

I am angry as hell that people blame this on something as stupid as a gun and fail to see that the problem is much larger than a piece of metal.

And I will admit at the risk of sounding a bit racist that I am incredibly pissed off it was a naturalized citizen who was welcomed in this country but then repays that kindness by killing 32 innocent people. How dare someone come on our soil and ask to be here then do something like that -- it's like a neighbor coming over for dinner then crapping on your rug!

Probably too early for this, but I'm not sure that the school could have done much different. They obviously had no way of knowing this maniac was stalking the campus, and were acting on the best information available.
I really can't imagine what the families of the victims are going through.

Don't misunderstand me - the fault lies with the dead shooter, and whatever factor in his life helped create this mindset in him, it is horrible. Of course, there was injustice somewhere - people don't just wake up and say "I think I'll be a shooter today."

HOWEVER, I do NOT blame the police, but my understanding is that once you here repetitive shots ring out, it's time to kick the doors down and use massive force - now, that is just what I thought, and I am no trained professional. If I am wrong, help me see the light here. Perhaps they have been portrayed unfairly.

I feel badly for the family members of those students who were hurt and lost their lives . It is a shame what our world has come to but I believe that as the Bible says, all of these things must come to pass before our Savior returns. You don't have to believe any of this, but I do. There will be more devestation, loss of life, famine, waste and war before the world finally comes to an end. Watch and pray - is all we can do.

I think its sad....i thought it was bad when i heard about it happening in high schools but in college.

I really think they took it lighly, they should have told everyone to stay in doors until they knew for sure the shooter had left. i personally think that the police did an half *** look for the person.

this was a "random" act and there was no way to be fully prepared for something like that. I believe the school handled it the best they could!
