If you are 19 weeks pregnant then I would say probably not yet. I know it happens in the second trimester, but I'm not positive when. If it can hear it can probably only hear the noises your body makes and maybe your heartbeat. It shouldn't be able to hear sounds outside the womb just yet, I don't think. But, in a couple more weeks it will be able to. Then you and your family can talk to your baby and it will be able to hear you.

No not really. It's not until the 19/20th weeks that the baby starts to form and grow it's ear functions. That why they say that being around loud noise is ok until the 20th week. After that it's crucial to stay away from environments that you have to yell in for the sake of the developing ears of your fetus.
