Even if Harry was a horcrux, that doesn't mean he will have to die. Voldemort used Harry's blood to come back, so that would transfer back to Voldemort.

I guess it is a possibility that Harry will die, but I don't think he will. Seven books is a lot for a tragedy. Remeber, these are kid's books, too. While there will certainly be death, I don't think the lead will die. That would seriously mess up a generation of children.

I know she wants to definitely put an end to the series, but she could do so with an epilogue taking place several years in the future to wrap up everyone's stories.

yes. I think Harry is that last horcurx. In book number 2 (Chamber of Secrets) after harry has killed the snake in the chamber him and Dumbledore are talking about why harry can speak parseltounge. He says to Harry "voldemort transferred some of his power to you"
Harry says "voldemort put a bit of himself in me?"
To me this suggests that Harry could be the last horcurx because in book 6 they are trying to discover where the last ones are and what they are in. The phopcey in book 5 says something like neither can live while the other survives. So yes I think Harry will die.

I think he will. If only to close the "book" on the franchise.

It's almost the same as Sherlock Holmes. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed Holmes in his last story so that nobody else could tamper with his creation. I think thas the author will kill Harry so that nobody will ever pressure her to write another Potter book, and so that nobody else will try to 'pick up where she left off.'

I don't think so, well I hope not. I think they will need to be able to leave an opening just in case they want to right more books. The author will run out of money sooner or later and she will need to make more.

sadly yes because they can't end with "and he lived happily ever after" and besides a good theory is voldemort and harry die at the same time after harry destroys the last horocrux

Only if Rowling can't neutralize him any other way. Then again, she's just perverse enough to to do it out of spite.
