Friday the 13th- My boyfriend (of 5 years and father of my 4 year old) and I had plans to go out on the town. We stopped by our neighbor’s house. The kids were in the back bedroom playing, my girlfriend neighbor and her boyfriend were sitting on the couch, and I was on a chair.

My boyfriend grabs me a beer- I see him open it, and then walks into the kitchen as to throw the twist lid away. I take a drink, and what do I find in my beer: Half a pill. I did my own research and found it was half of an Ambien. Of which my boyfriend had a prescription to.

The major irony of all this, I had spoke to my mother a few months earlier and confided in her that I thought my boyfriend was drugging me. There were some weird cases where I would wake up the next day and not remember anything of the night before. And I’m 30 years old. So to confirm my suspicions, I actually find a pill in my drink.

Now what. My (now x) boyfriend and I live together. I told him to get out or I’m pressing charges. Of course he denys having anything to do with the pill in my drink. Thinks I should press charges to prove that he had nothing to do with it, or to sue the bottling company. Come on, I’m not stupid. It is pretty obvious he did it. I need some insight? He is making me out to be crazy on this whole ordeal. I want him out of my life!!! How should I proceed?

Glad to hear he is now an Ex, and you really should consider pressing charges. He was risking your life by placing a controlled substance in your drink without your knowledge. Many a bad thing can happen to people who mix sleeping medication and alcohol.
I'd get a restraining order against him - after all if he is willing to do that what else is he slipping into your drinks and food. Get him out of your house and out of your life by any means necessary before he miscalculates a dose and kills you.

Forget about whether or not you can have him kicked out of the apartment/house.

He is drugging you with prescription medicine. You need to notify the authorities and have him arrested and you need to press charges. But first, compose yourself so as not to appear like a crazy woman in a typical boyfriend/girlfriend custody dispute/domestic disturbance kind of way. It's actually a shame that you confronted him on the matter. It would have been better if you managed to catch him in the act or at least had the bottle, with pill and beer in it, to present to the authorities when they arrive. Either way...his *** needs to go to jail or worse for DRUGGING YOU. Act now...

First, you should hire a lawyer because you have issues of child support and child custody.

Also, you should have made a big deal about it at the party so to speak, and then called the cops to report it. Given them the beer with the pill in it.

Now there's no evidence of anything. Just your word against his.

Time to move out. If its your house, tell him to leave.

Then go for custody and child support.

He is your ex boyfriend. Good. If he doesn't want to move out, you may have too. Hopefully you saved the pill you found in your drink. Either way, press charges. That way, if convicted, he will think twice about doing it to someone else or be in jail so he can't.

Stay at your parents until you can get on your feet or call the police and tell them you think your boyfriend is trying to poison you and you want him out of the house.
I hope you saved that beer. Put the contents in a zip-lock bag and turn them over to the police.
If you say you are in fear of your life (and you should be!) the police will make him leave. Then get an Emergency Protective Order to keep him away, and throw his stuff out in the street. Be sure to make a full police report. Who knows what this sick $#@& will do next!
Next time it might not be an Ambien, it could be something that will kill you.

Get a restraining order. He had intent to harm. It may have been a prescription drug this time, but it sounds like he used Roofies on you.

Get rid of him and never, never let ANY man open your beer for you. You should never leave a drink unattended at a bar either. If you have to go to the ladies' room, take the drink with you.

1st off IF this is real you shouldn't be worried about asking this question! You should be getting your dad 2 the hospital 2 see what that pill was! Odds are they are going 2 have 2 pump his stomach (not fun)

Personally I would be enraged.

Go to or call the police and explain the situation. They'll probably tell you what could potentially happen should you press charges. They'll probably also tell you it is your decision.

You can then weigh your options and make an informed decision.

Either way, KICK his *ss OUT.

First of all.. you need a {{hug}}.. Now,Pack your bags, and leave. Go strait to the police station, file a report. They will take you to the nearest Domestic Violence shelter that can help you get out of this situation. Abusers often try to turn it around on you, making you feel crazy or in the wrong.. Don't wait until he makes a miscalculation in his drugging and you overdose.

You need to press charges. Or set up a camera in your bedroom, then press charges. He is probably raping you and may be letting others as well. For the sake of society if not yourself, take this guy down.
