i think they may be in their own group, and if they do i forgot what the scientific name may be(if their is one, otherwise then it is just the bird group) but they are not mammals because they do not give birth to young and they are not reptiles because birds are warm-blooded.

the jury is still out on this one birds are believed to be the last decendents of the dinosuars hollow bones and three toes so if my opinion counts they would be reptilian before mammal ............................... by about 300 million years
