I heard a little girl (maybe 4) ask her mother this the other day. The more I thought about it the more profound and Zen-like it seemed. And cute too.

Rain starts all from the sea, sun then evaporates the water and it forms clouds. These clouds move along all over the world, till its waterdrops get heavier, then it starts to pour. Water then flows back down the sea somehow (rivers, streams) and this process is repeated again.

Maybe because its April...and the rain will lead to new flowers and plants and hopefully spring like weather cus its way to cold on the upper east coast (Massachusetts whoo hoo!)
