Read books, play board games, or get out markers, crayons, finger paint, construction paper, glue, scissors, etc. and make some crafts. Kids love to create. Let them help make lunch or dinner or maybe a special treat like cookies or Rice Crispies Treats. Or, you could take them outside and play.

Put on a trench-coat and carry a clipboard.

Drive over to the other side of town and Say you are from the Nielson Rating Corporation doing a field visit on TV watching habits in this community....casually mention something about being entered into a raffle for a plasma TV.

Then plop youself in front of their set on their dime.
You can probably convince them to look at the shows you want to see because of the effect of ....the commercials ...or some such stuff.

That happened to me once! I saw the cable man pull up, he waved so friendly as he unhooked my cable by accident, then drove away. I called and threatened to break both his legs! My Internet and television are hooked together. You have to talk to them!!! Isn't than a new concept?
