What is the study of Scientific Names?

It's not Taxonomy... even if it deals with the study of identification and classification

I think taxonomy is as close as it gets. I do not think there is a specific study of just names.

systematics.

taxonomy and systematics are very close. difference is that taxonomy studies real beings, and systematics deal only with their names and classification in families, orders etc.
