I need to add that when I took out the last plug from it resivour there was oil in it. The oil was clean and it had been a while since I had changed it. Could I have gotten some in there by mistake or is my engine head cracked?

i own a repair shop, and a cracked head wont act like this you may have gotten some in it by accident and the miss you have in it my be caused by oil on a plug causing it to short out ,it will kill brand new plugs if they get wet with oil or gas,and also did you gap the new spark plugs when you put them in ,they don't come pre-gaped like a lot of other people think they do ,you have to set the end gap in them for what it says to on the tune up sticker under the hood ,if you didn't do this that's probably why it might be missing, but id go back over it and check it,and dry the oil off of it,and make sure you don't have any leaks on the engine, and make sure you don't have any plug wires crossed on it either, good luck with it hope this helps.

Nice _Witch 40, If you have any warranty left on your car get it to the dealer quickly. Oil around the top threads of a spark plug is an indicator that there is a piston ring problem. Did you keep the plugs that originally came out of the car? Was the original plug covered with a black oily carbon buildup? If not, you may have an ignition coil pack problem or if you have individual coils on each cylinder. Have these coils checked promtly.

where was the oil?was it on the outside of the engine or on the inside?on the outside you may have a valve cover leaking and thats just a gasket. On the inside could be rings or valve guides and should be smoking (a major fix).If the oil was clean you might even have spilled oil when you added to it last and it ran down to the plug and got to the contact and rotted the wire.Try putting on a new set of plug wires and see what happens, sometimes they break when you pull them of the plugs and that will cause a misfire

It may have just looked like oil on the plug because the plug was not firing. A blown head gasket can let oil unto the cilinder. Make sure all plug wires are pluged on good and tight. You could have a bad plug wire, it would not hurt to change them also.

Chances are that the engine head is cracked. Take it to a Kia dealer and they can do a compression test, and make the determination for sure. better safe than sorry.
