there is a robin that keeps trying to get in my kid's bedroom window it will sit on the edge of the window or in the tree that is right next to it for hours and try to fly in we had the same problem with a cardinal at another house and it was only on the kid's bedroom window. I tried covering the window but this did not work i cannot think of anything inside that is attracting the birds.

It is only by chance that this bird is at your kids window. The hard facts are this a window glass reflects and birds see themselves in this reflection the being unable to recognize themselves at tact this bird infringing on their territory. Simple as that.

Many birds are attracted to anything bright and shiny. Maybe it's the window or a mirror that he can see through the window.

Some superstitious people will probably give you very different answers, but don't let it worry you. People who believe in reincarnation will tell you it's a grandparent watching over her. That wouldn't be so bad, would it?

The bird is probably responding to its reflection in the glass. If it's a problem, you might try putting a sticker on the outside of the glass, where the bird bumps into the glass.
