I have a pleco about 6 inches long, he lives in a 30gallon tank with 1 sanil, 5 ghost shrimp, 15 or so guppy fry, 5 adult guppies, 2 angel fish, and 10 tetras. I do regualr water changes of about 20% each weekend. I have three plants in the tank and a fake bush. My Q is should I give him the waffers or just let him eat what he finds? See I gave him 2 waffers and in the morning one hadn't been touched and the other just had about a 1/4 of it missing(i think that was do to the shrimp)

Also my water looks murky even though it's been established for 4 months I don't want to add chemicals to it and the color of the water looks to be a milky green looking what can I do. Or is it just that way from the light reflecting off of my rocks (river rock) with the green plants I have in there?

I'm 16 so in depth detailed answers would be nice
Thank you

plecos will eat whatever they find in the tank but they also need a waffer every now and then to keep the algae in the tank up. the water color problem sounds to me like you need to rerplace your filter. or at least rinse out the charcoal pouch in the back of it... my recomendation is to buy a new filter and make sure it is strong enough for a 30 gallon tank. maybe even go a little over kill. a good way to make sure it is being filtered as much as need be is to get two 30 gallon filters and place one on both ends of the tank. this will keep the tank cleaner and it will ensure that the guppies do not get stuck up in the filtration system. plecos typically eat at night and when you arent looking. as long as he is sticking himself to the sides of things like the side of the tank or a rock or something than you can be sure he is eating. the pleco will also eat whatever you are feeding the other fish in the tank.

Plecos do come in a variety of shades so to speak and a darker coloration shouldn't be an indication of anything wrong. If that is the only thing you are noticing about him that seems different, then you have nothing at all to worry about.

Feeding the pleco is a good idea. It might take him several days to realize the wafers are food, so don't give up on him too quickly. An additional food choice for him would be fresh veggies. Cucumber, zuchinni and squash are all good choices. Just rubber band them to a rock over night and remove any left overs in the morning. Plecos usually love this stuff and it's really good for them too. The other fish in the tank will pick at the veggies some and that's fine, it's good for all of them.

The cloudy water is probably a slight algae bloom. I would suggest you increase your water changes to about 25-30% a week and be sure to clean the gravel and pay close attention to cleaning under and arround rocks. Also, keep the tank lights on a maximum of 10 hours a day, shorter is even better. The plants certainly need some light, but don't over do the duration. Given a week or two this should clear up the cloudiness problem.

Hope that helps and feel free to email me if I can help.

Uh, the link you published is of BLACK denims, not diminished gray ones which you talk of. yet to get that seem: refill a bucket with heat water & blend in a very good volume of salt & permit your denims soak for an hour or so. If its sunny out, positioned the denims outdoors to air dry - that enables to furnish an somewhat advantageous diminished seem. Get a type of vast sized nail report / foot scrubber and scrub away the place you opt for for rips and a wiped out seem on the denims. be careful nevertheless, do not over do it! you opt for for them to look new, not trashy.
