The semi finals appear to be Australia v/s South Africa and Sri Lanka v/s New Zeland. It is absolutely impossible to predict the winners at this stage. However, I have a feeling that South Africa will defeat Australia as their quota of bad luck in the world cup is over and they are due for some good luck too. I also feel that New Zeland will end the hopes of Sri Lanka as New Zeland will come out with more vigour as they have a score to settle with Sri Lanka.

There's 100% possibility for such an encounter. With the semi-final line up almost drawn, it is going to be Australia VS the winner of SA-ENGLAND in one semi finals, and Srilanka VS Newzealand in the other semis. Going by the current form of the teams , both Austrlalia and Srilanka are expected to cruise through to the finals, without much resistance !

srilanka are likely to win the semis if they play against newzealand, and australia are the favourites to win the semis anyhow. in this way australia and srilanka are likely to make the final
