I loved it, the way the film was slowed down and then speeded up agian was good. The fight scenes that where done by one continous shot where great!!! : ) did you lik it?

I loved the movie and I'm sick and tired of people saying it's " a big lie." It was art, a visual feast for the eyes, with a good plot line and good musical score. The cinematography was great.

Once the Spartans, being greatly outnumbered, did stand up to the Persians but remember that it's a historical fact that's been distorted in the telling and retelling until, now, it's a legend and can't be considered to be historical fact.

Secondly, the story was made into a graphic novel (comic book for adults) and so it was further distorted (such as adding mutant Persian warriors with swords as arms or whatever).

Thirdly, the graphic novel was then made into the movie and they wanted an artistic rendering not a literal and historically accurate rending of the battle and times.

Lastly, keep in mind the movie is told from the narrator's viewpoint. The guy who lost his eye and was sent back to Sparta with the King's necklace is telling the tale and, naturally, his own perceptions and emotions are coloring what he tells and, consequently, what we see because it's meant to be as if he's telling us and the rest of the Spartans the story

It was a great story and I will undoubtedly buy a copy as soon as it's out on DVD.

Very creative and fairly accurate, except that the Spartans did not stand alone as the movie says.
The Thespians stayed with them, but still the odds were horrible.
The naval commander of the Greeks also overcame great odds!
They believed in principles, not just profit!!

It was all right. Took a number of historicalliberties, but they really just contribute to making sure the story moves on, and helps focus the story on Leonidas. A lot of the backgrounds really do look CG, but it's a step up from looking like a painted curtain.

Aside from the way it was filmed there is nothing remotely original about this film. The actors seem like they were all directed to act bigger than life, and it comes off seemingly pretentious. It's all a cliche'. I was quite dissapointed.

There is no greater movie. Holloywood should shut down now, they will never top this, and to try will only be a disgrace.
