I don't know too many people who would rush an armed gunman. If it had been a knife or a baseball bat....he wouldn't have had a chance to attack too many. But please don't second guess those students for lack of action....they are innocents in all of this.

I love how you are so brave from all the way over here.
That's what you would have done, right? Rushed the shooter, done some Steven Segal thing to his neck and been the big hero. Or he just would have shot you as you ran toward him.
Why are you blaming the victims for not being in a Chuck Norris movie? This is real life, where bullets don't whiz around the good guy or just give him a flesh wound. Bullets actually kill people.
What this tragedy has to do with your stupid political point, I'll never know. I do know that you are a pretty horrible person for even attempting this analogy.

I think I understand today that in real life situations it becomes too difficult sometimes to follow the logical path. When I was younger, I used to come up with questions much like the one this guy is asking. Today I am much older, and know how wrong I was. I may even be wrong today in many of my decisions and understandings. So instead of descending down on him and calling him all sorts of names, we need to condition him and tell him right from wrong so we don't have another one of those unhappy postal workers in the breeding.
As far as I am concerned I really don't think this question is so out of the way as to put anyone's integrity at stake. Just because 'you' are angry right now doesn't mean you have the right to be wrong to anyone who doesn't throw in a question to your own specific taste.

Shock. Panic. People just tryin' to hide behind anything vaguely similar to cover. Normal reactions to life threats in normal people.
We don't know if some of them tried to rush him. Surely some tried, but most people is shocked for that kinda things.

Most gun supporters like to point out that you can kill someone with a knife or even by stabbing someone with a pen. I'm sure all the students had pens. I'm surprised nobody took him out with one.

Easy for you to shoot off your mouth not having been faced with the situation. And then you make a idiotic leap to "people being conditioned to letting the government...
Pathetic.

No one can say for certain what they will do in that situation until they are actually in that situation.
Criticizing these students while beating your own chest like a gorilla is truly tasteless and ignorant.

That's quite easy to say when you're sitting from the cheap seats, when you've never been in that situation.
I think its very distasteful to be playing armchair quarterback in this situation.
