After seeing Blings answer I have to agree with her, although it is now called virgin media, the hold music is just the same.
After seeing Blings representation of it I rang them just to hear it, the computers however where down, and it went straight into customers services for a lady to tell me to ring back in a few hours, I told her I only wanted to hear the waiting music, and she let me hear it.
At least it is free for customers to call it, but the music is the worst. When I first had NTL years ago, they used to play chart music, some of it was very good.

the nhs!!!!!
this is how it goes
'your call will soon be dealt with' (in a very patronising annoying male voice)
then follows a really bad clip of classical music for 15 seconds
then they play the SAME MESSAGE
'your call will soon be dealt with'
then play the SAME CLIP
OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER
