I am not for banning legal firearms, but illegal firearms are far to available to anyone who wants them. We need more action at the federal and state level, you sell a gun illegally, you lose your right to own a gun! You smuggle firearms illegally, you spend at least a decade behind bars!

Lets stop this NRA funded nonsense of putting more guns on the streets to make everyone "safer" more guns on the streets will only cause more gun violence. Lets regulate firearms more effectively.

What is your definition of an "illegal firearm"?

I can't say I agree with you because you're speaking down upon the NRA, something I proudly stand for, and you are making it sound like the NRA would hand a firearm over to a convicted felon.

Firearms, legal or not? Crooks have them but we
should not? It is my guess that out of the 32 dead
and the 15 wounded three or four knew how to use a
firearm. If they were allowed to carry a concealed
pistol. Perhaps 20 of the dead would still be alive.
10 of the wounded would have never been shot at.
Both in this state and in Texas we can easily
get a permit to carry. I for one am a good shot.
We are told not to make eye contact and call 911.
That may be OK, for some. I don"t bother any one.
If someone brakes in on me I have the option of
blowing hem back out. To take guns away is like
putting a sign on our doors saying "This home is
unprotected by firearms" When a person lives in
a big city, all they know is the Q-Mart was robed
or a drive by. Gun was used. Guns bad. Lets say
we pick all the guns as in Germany in the 1930"s
The bad guys still had guns. I would like people
to check the records. In every city and in every
state where people are allowed to carry the crime
went down.

You are so misquided. Legal firearms aren't a problem it is the people who use them to hurt. the Illegal firearms as you so put it. If you knew that at any point you could come face to face with a person carrying a gun are you going to cause any trouble with that person? NO. if everyone had guns then we wouldn't need them. Making more rules won't help with people that are using guns illegally bacause they won't follow the rules anyway. You are right when you say lets regulate better.

It not the NRA that we needs to be worried about. Legal gun ownership is a constitutionally defended right as a US citizen. What we need to worry about are gang-bangers and drug dealers who make there own rules up as they go along.

I own several gun legally. That does not mean that I'm going to shoot up my school. This is about one crazy man who purchased a gun and made a life changing decision.

If you're going to isolate one aspect of this crime and blame it for all of the problems then maybe we should blame foreign exchange students, or maybe Korea. That doesn't make any sense either does it?

Guns are tools, just like a hammer and a saw. More people die in auto accidents -- specifically alcohol, drug and cell phone related "accidents. Do we ban them as well? Ban the idiots not the tools. I don't own a single gun, even though I live in the country, I feel no need. I don't lock my doors and everyone around me knows that if they get stupid, I will be more than happy to bury their sorry butt somewhere on my ten acres. Who needs a gun? Still, I feel the need to keep my 2nd Ammendment right.

There are already hundreds of laws that regulate gun ownership. Obviously they have no effect on criminals. An armed society is a polite society. I guess in your world a criminal would be stopped in his tracks by regulations against illegal firearms possession. Think that through and see how foolish you sound

okay i think your completely wrong.. guns are not the problem.. PEOPLE are the problem... i am a very proud gun owner and i own alot of guns.. I don't think they need to take the guns off the streets they need to take the felons, drug dealers, immigrants and other people i don't wish to speak of because the US is getting outta hand with racial discrimination crap.. guns are good, guns keep many of us safe at night.. I grew up in downtown Detroit! i know what stupid people with guns do to other innocent people.. but still i love guns!
