I suspect that until we rid CONGRESS of career politicians our problems will accelerate. Way too many people place emphasis on who is in the WH, and when you think back about them you come to realize that we get over the bad ones pretty quickly, but yet nothing much seems to change, and I firmly believe it is due to Congress.
Congress writes the checks, they are the ones bankrupting this country, congress writes the laws which are a failure, congress does not police themselves, congress takes our money without representation, congress spends our money to buy votes from each other and the citizens. So as far as I can tell until multi-term career crooks are out, we are still in trouble.

We had scores of problems before he came into office. He has been busy not only trying to address what was not done in the last administration but has had to deal with a number of new issues. People are naive and close to stupid if they think the problems will go away when President Bush retires. They better pray they get a president who will work as hard as this one has done.

Of course our problems will not magically vanish once Bush is out of office. The thing is that he has done nothing to address the real problems we face and have made things worse.

Sway.. I'm going to be perfectly honest with you here... the source of our largest problems right now is the fact that we had 6 years of a government with no checks and balances and now have a president that spent 6 years in a system with no checks and balances and isn't willing to.. or doesn't know how to possibly... work in a balanced system... the next president needs to be someone who is great with foreign policy who will be willing to work with both sides... put someone in like that and this nation will be back on track and united within 2 years.

We had problems before he was in office, but the problems everyone is so tired over are the problems he has caused.
They can't be fixed because he isn't willing to fix them, and in some cases doesn't even think they are problems to begin with.

Bush was a failure as a President, and, internationally, it will be a relief when a new person takes the office.
