I really don't know about other countries.......but what I do know for a fact is that VT had very ,very strict gun control laws and the laws made VT the perfect place to slaughter people. Its a shame that a professor or some student did not have a conceal carry gun with him,it is highly likely that fewer people would have died. A gunman is not going to a police station or a shooting range to kill masses of people,he will go somewhere that he will be the only one with a gun. That is why cities or States with strict gun control laws always have the highest violent crime rates.

Many, many years ago, an English "gun collector" walked into an elementary school and killed something like a dozen small children. Gun ownership was outlawed in England a very long time ago - years before that incident. The only people then allowed to possess firearms were those registered as "collectors". That's the last major shooting incident I've heard of in England - and I believe that it happened about 20 years ago.

Google something like "shooting deaths" for England, Australia, and other non-gun countries. Compare the shooting deaths per capita in those countries to the 30,000 gun deaths we have in the USA every single year.

The difference is appalling.

No. Gun control is not the solution only a deterent but we should 1st look at the shooter hi might be very sick in the head. I guess family values is a more possitive solution, tollerance is another one and free physco exams in schools and frquent mental evalution of students to be able to indentify possible indiviuals of the potiential of being people shooters.

Stricter gun control will not keep guns out of the hands that really want them. Guns are stolen everyday. Guns cross the borders just as easily as drugs do. If they really want a gun they can get a gun.

There was one back in the 80s in Britain called "The Hungerford Massacre", since then nothing has happened because of the uproar and disgust that followed that event.

Yes, China has one of the strictest gun controls. They make homemade guns. The killing still goes on.
Owning a gun in China is either the death penalty or imprisonment.

I don't care what happens in other countries...I care about the foreigners that our government keeps letting in here to do these horrible things.
