unless you got the roundup on the leaves of the tree it will not kill it i spray aroung my trees several times a year to keep from weed eating and have never killed one yet but if you spray the green part of a plant it will kill it i'd say something else is killing your tree or maybe the cold weather just set it back

The only way to negate the effects of roundup is to immediately flood the plant with water. Obviously, that won't work fot your tree.

The good news is that roundup usually doesn't kill trees and bushes on the first try. It will damage them, but they usually survive. Repeated applications are usually required to actually totally kill a tree or bush.

All you can do is hope that is the case for your tree.

Believe me it won't totally kill it. I used total vegetation killer on a tree to try and kill it didn't work. I tried to spray the leaves and they died and came back some took until the next season but they came back. I trying pouring it full strength around the trunk and it didn't work either, I wish it was that easy to kill a tree with Roundup. No I can't afford to have it cut down.

Roundup is a broad spectrum herbicide.. it works through the foliage. If you sprayed the leaves, I'm afraid it's toast. If you got roundup on the trunk, the problem is elsewhere.
