Someone needs to take a look back at the biggest massacre in the U.S. that was put on the Native American. They keep trying to cover that fact up. Its not going away people.

Youre right David, but a group of Native Americans were massacred in minutes by one army command.

I know that they mean in school history, but they should say it. Not "the biggest massacre in American History". This burns me!

I also agree that 9/11 was way bigger than this! Media Idiots!!

The news will label anything to get a good news rating. This event shouldn't even be labeled, it just a tragic event.

I think what they mean are in SCHOOL HISTORY. I don't think the media is out for ratings. There job is to inform the public. And it burns me up that people feel like the media is out for ratings. People are making this about politics and it is not. It is about the people at Tech and their famlies. I agree that this is not the BIGGEST massacre in U.S history but in a school it is. No matter how big or small a massacre is the sadness is the same. 911 was the biggest massacre to me. I think everybody needs to stop worrying about the details and start worrying about what can be done to prevent this again and to pray for the victims of this tradedy. 911 did not just affect the people of NY and this does not affect just the people of Tech. To me it affects EVERYBODY!! Sorry if I get offended real easy. This hit close to home for me.. My best friend's sister goes to Tech and they have to heard from her yet. Like I said people need to stop worrying about the media and start focusing on the facts.. 33 people are dead for no reason at all.. Think about that!

The biggest massacre is described as the largest number of fatalities resulting from a single action.

Slavery was horrible and countless lives were lost. It was a tragedy, but not a massacre, as it occured over a series of occassions.

What are you smoking? Who's trying to HIDE anything regarding the stone aged natives who went up against a more modern army?

The three biggest massacres in US history are as follows:

The Civil War

911

Pearl Harbor

Just trying to get ratings. Matt Lauer is a dumba**. He just said "33 People dead at GEORGIA tech." The biggest massacre in US history to me is 9/11. Its just sad when the news media is exploiting the deaths of innocent people for ratings.

That guys family should pay as well. The killer Cho Seung-Hui
This should not even be compared to anything. Thats all the media wants to do is compare to some event sometime somewhere. It's not about that. People should morn and justice should be brought as well. This guy committed suicide and will burn in hell, but his immediate family should pay and be excommunicated from the country as well. It's 90% their fault this happened. This holocaust seems to have some kind of communist roots
Were too damn passive in this country. Where's the Justice??

I hear you but, what they are saying is that this is the biggest school massacres. I know what you are saying but, the news get a story and get way out of hand with it. I'm with you brother.

no -- they don't mean school history - they mean single-person shooting incident...

the last biggest was in texas a few years back, in a truck stop... and the biggest before that was also in texas - the clocktower incident around 1970 or something

so no, it's not the native americans -- this is the biggest.

Lest not we forgot the exodus of christians in texas as well....

Also we need to remember this is most likely being compared to gun massacres, not terrorist attacks or wars.

Gotta love the media.

i felt the same way...its purely for ratings and to get everyone ultra hyped up to the media frenzy. they would be accurate if they said the deadliest school shooting in recent history

media does not care about the victims or the story itself, just only the bottom line and ratings...money
