The President doesn't control inflation or gas prices. I think Iraq will be the deciding factor.

Outside of food and gas prices, there isn't really any inflation out there. And I doubt anyone seriously thinks the Democrats will do anything to lower gas prices; if anything, they'll jack them up with taxes to try to pay for public transportation systems that are already in place in the East and are mostly impractical in the rest of the country (we're too spread out to make them cost-effective and useful for most of the country).
Iraq's the only thing they have going for them, until they open their mouths and talk about how they want to turn the US into a North American form of socialized Europe.

Well dems do control Congress. After 100 days they have done absolutely nothing but try and make America and the president look bad. I wouldn't call that a good campaign strategy for getting Hillary Rotten Clintoon elected in 08'.

I think we will have a democrat in office in 08 for the above mentioned reasons and the fact that the republicans have basically so much as came out and said they are not holding out any hopes of keeping the white house in 08.

I hope they elect a Libertarian president. I don't like Clinton or Obama as president. I'd like to see Lieberman personally. Even though I don't like his stance on the Iraq war.
Its a shame that the governator can't run for pres. office because that would be the first and only time i'd vote for a republican.

Oh, yeah right, like they will do anything different,
how much you wanna bet that you can have a dem in the white house, a dem controlled congress and you STILL won't see a damn thing done that's in the benefit of people over corporations.
I'll bet you a million dollars.
You know, in Germany, they have 45 mpg car standards,
if that one thing was implemented in the US,
we wouldn't have to rely on foreign oil or OPEC at all! -- and effectively, we would stop funding terrorist harboring countries who the Bushies are cozy with--like Saudi Arabia.
Will that ever be done no matter what corporate whore of the two headed beast is in there? NO>

I feel quite the opposite. And I'm gonna be at the Voting Booth. When it gets Election time. And show how I want this Country to be run. And I hope that you're there, too. Regardless of which Party you agree with.

The conventional wisdom says yes you are right. However, the troops will be coming home by election time and Rudy will win in a landslide.

Iraq is the most pressing issue.
Anthony, I'm sitting here enjoying the sunrise and listening to birds chirping outside. Sorry you can't see it.
