There is, and always was from the very beginning until now. One of the first events of the "Big Bang" was as soon as matter was starting to be generated it was surrounded by photons...light. In fact, at that period of time, the whole universe would have looked white in every direction.
Why even today we have "light" beer!

There is. Earth is part of the universe and there is light here, otherwise we could not see. And the Sun and stars emit light, that is how we see them.
But maybe you mean why is the sky black in space. That is because there is no air to scatter light, so every direction you look that isn't right at a star or the Sun or some other matter has no light rays arriving at your eye.

There's plenty of light in the universe, emanating from stars, and various man-made structures. Technically, it's all photons of light energy, and not a single beam, but it's usually convenient to think of it as a beam or wave. Those particles are too small to see, and in space, there's nothing for them to reflect off, which is why the universe seems "dark" when you look out into space at night.

Theoretically there should be light even during night,
But the universe is growing and so the light can not reach us

The universe is flooded with light if an object is visible that object intercepted some light and reflected it and we observed it.

God wants to save energy. Jesus ran up the electric bill, and now God is trying to cut back on expenses.
