Is the series from 1 to infinity of 3/2n a geometric series and if so what is r.

It's not a geometric series because the ratio between the terms are different.

Second term/First term = (3/4)/(3/2) = 1/2
Third term/Second term = (3/6)/(3/4) = 2/3

r is the ratio of the term to the previous term.
For example, geometric series: 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,... r=2

it is not geometric series

r=a2/a1=a3/a2=...
