you say you have activated error checking on drive c,when you do this you will be shown a message requiring you to restart the computer to run the error checking process,so first restart the p.c
the error check does take quite a long time so be patient,the problem being if you dont let windows run the error check fully then it will continue to run the check,and wont let you into windows until complete
so just run the check(go and make a cuppa) and then the check should have finished and windows would have restarted
i presume you have wrote this question from another p.c,

I want to ask you, is your computer connected to internet? If so, click the icon (e) on the quick lunch bar, go to the menu, that is where u have File, edit, view, favorites, tools and help, click on tools then go to internet option, u will see a space where they wrote address: type in (http://mail.yahoo.com/) or (http://www.yahoo.com) and then click on apply, your yahoo will show or you need to install new internet explorer
