Ok, I wrote a really cool novel and I'm gonna put it on the web. But I'm sure that some people are gonna try to steal it! I want to protect it! How I get copyrights? What must I do?

Contact the Library of Congress and they will give you the correct form to use. I believe the form is Form TX, and the filing fee is about $35.00. It doesn't copyright the whole book, but it does protect phrases and ideas. Their website is very user friendly and will explain all this.

Put it on the web in installments. Offer it to a real publisher, or get a Pay Pal account and invite people to subscribe if they want to know what happens next.

If you wrote it you automatically have copyright. You should put a notice on that spells this out.

Of course people can still rip it off but then you can send your lawyers after them and their profits.
