the post office has a nice rate with the dollar not sure if theres any where better where i live but may be where you are, also its just over $2 to the pound

Many travel agents.
Many banks.
Unless you're experienced in foreign currency trading, don't expect to make any money on this. The $2 to £1 exchange is a psychological barrier and will likely trigger economic activity that may bring that rate down fairly quickly, leaving you holding the bag.
