there are many thoughts and opinions, subject areas,,, noted philosophers etc etc so i would say,,,, there is no one "philosophy of man" ,,, i found this opinion interesting
"THE PHILOSOPHY OF MAN
There is no man that is strong in every way possible.
One man cannot overcome fear and pain at once,
with out time, and another man to help him.
The fear and the pain that he experiences
can only be felt if he has given into that fear, or that pain.
The smartest man is the only man who can do such a thing.
The smartest man is not your professors, or your doctors, or your lawyers.
The smartest man is any man that knows if you give fear and pain
the chance to consume you;
It will.

Could you be more specific? Aristotle? Plato? Marx? Bacon? Try "The complete Idiot's Guide to Philosophy." That's where my earliest studies in philosophy were and it gives you a pretty good base of knowledge from which to delve more deeply into subjects that interest you.
