I only consider myself to be "conservative" in my views. Not right or left, more right or wrong. I believe our American culture is being threatened by activist appeasement. That is not what this country is about. If you can't cut the mustard, then you should not be in a position of responsibility whether you're white, black, blue, purple, male or female. Everyone should be given the same opportunity and everyone should rise on their merits. The left has grown too socialistic and the right has become too religiously aware. We cannot function appropriately as a free nation if we allow this influence. It has led to far too much corruption in the halls of civic leadership.
