read the book, watched the movie.. they are more alike than most book adaptations..or were they totally the same? cant remember..anyway, both are very good, but go on and read the book for the sheer pleasure of savouring ishiguro's mastery of the language and its cultural nuances

I have not seen the movie or read the book, but from what I have seen, the movies are very rarely like the book. So don't expect it.
