I tried using Notepad to create a web page in HTML forrmat and it worked. But I don't know how to link my page to other web pages. Can somebody please tell me how to? Also, how can I put pictures onto the page? I want to make a website that helps teach math. If Notepad is not the way, what other way can I use that is free to put my site on the World Wide Web? I forgot to mention earlier that I want to link my home page to other web pages created by ME.

It's easy...
- Sign up for a free Webstarts account here: http://www.webstarts.com
- Quickly create a page that better describes your website. The web editor is super easy to use.
- Add slide shows and photo's using photobucket or just upload your photo's right to your website
- Preview the finished page and send the link to your friends and family
It takes only a few minutes to do but can mean the difference.
Check it out when you get a chance.

If you want to continue using Notepad, look at code for other pages with facilities you want via Internet Explorer and select View, Source. Following is one of mine (produced via Notepad) with examples of images, links to other pages and web sites.

You Can use Microsoft frontpage-the easiest way to create a homepage
But if you want your home page to be created on the web FREE-you should go to (www.freewebs.com) and click MAKE YOUR OWN SITE.
In this You dont have to use either notepad or Microsoft Frontpage you can make it online with unlimited features like e-mail,blogger etc.
Thank you and have a nice day

you can code html using notepad but i recommend using something more advanced such as dreamweaver. in order to put your site on the web you will first need hosting. depending on the number of website visitors you could use free hosting like geocities, rent out a shared hosting server, or rent out a dedicated server. you will also need to register a domain name (if you rent out a server).
