I really like all three, but if I had to choose I would say The Matrix. The special effects to me were mind blowing, and I really liked the concept.

Matrix 1 all the way! The other two were basically made as one and then split, but they kind of got to much into the whole special effects and in my opinion, lost the plot! But a great trilogy none the less! I like Matrix 1 because theres so many hidden meanings to it, and of the many times I've seen it, I always understand something new....

As I said before... It's not right to rate a movie from a trilogy or from a series like Star Wars... know why? Because they're part of the same story... but if you're asking which part of the story I liked the most OK...
I loved the 3rd part... After all, the fights, the battles the climax is all in the third...
Although, the first one lets in us that felling of height, when you know that Neo will make a difference... "he's the one" and the agents can do nothing against him...
but then you realize that it was just the beginning and there's a whole saga ahead...

The Matrix doesn't matter how many times I've seen it it still doesn't matter the last twenty mins of the film for me are amazing I still get so caught up in the moment.

the first one-the other two just scream "SEQUEL!!" it was best left as a single movie actually, but if you want to see something better than the other two, get animatrix, which is a collection of animation shorts that are based on the matrix story and concepts. very reminescent of the first heavy metal movie.
