Yes, I found that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and put it in the bank right next to the money I got from the UK lottery winnings! HA!

I was at the end of a rainbow about 2 months ago, I never thought it was possible, But with the sun the way it was, I was there. I drive right thought it with my car, even put my hand out the window to touch it. I haven't become rich, maybe it will take a wile, or 3's the lucky number. I am guessing its just a legend.

I walked for approximately 17 hours one day following a rainbow to its end - when I got there - all I found was some grass and a dead plant.... either some fecker beat me to the gold or its all just a myth!

No, because rainbows are formed by the different particles of light spreading out due to the water in the air. I don't see how physics has anything to do with gold.

Everytime there's a rainbow near where I live it seems to end in the field next to my house, I looked at least five times when I was younger but then gave up...Then again, I live in Ireland so maybe it really is those pesky leprechauns after all...Is that proof of that myth? ;-) Maybe all you people in other countries have a better chance than us poor Irish do...!

there is no "bottom" of the rainbow, never mind a pot of gold at the end of it.
The bottom will appear to be in one place from "your" perspective, while to someone viewing the rainbow from another angle it will appear to be somewhere else. ergo, you will not find the bottom of the rainbow.

There is a pot of gold but leprachauns are very protective of it. They never plan to spend it, they don't see gold as we do, it's not valuable in the monetary sense to them. It's more spiritual with them.
If you sit with a couple and actually chat with them, you'll find out that they are very misunderstood. They don't tend to mix with us very much because of this but Liam was telling me that he makes the odd journey to the 'land of the lankies'.
Tell you what, if it was possible for me to join their ranks I would but although they do have auditions for men occasionally, unfortunately, females have to be born leprachines (you didn't know that was the term for a female leprachaun, did you?). They have an enviable society and their level of technology is about 350 years ahead of ours.
Leprachauns aren't spirit folk as legend supposes, they're as much flesh and blood as you and me but they cloak themselves. They're out there .... space-wise and have met other races. According to Liam, who isn't privvy to the latest news true enough but according to him, they've warned several space-farers from making contact with us; we've got a bad rep up there but there have been kids who've thought it funny to buzz people in the back of beyond and then vanish.
Anyway, the gold. Yep, they can absorb a ... force ... from it which makes their 'magic' stronger and don't want humans finding it and doing nasty things like making trinkets and money out of it. for that reason and that reason alone, you'll never find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
