im going on holiday with my bf to cyprus in june im due half way through was thinking of continuing my pill that month on to the next so i wont be on at my holiday has any of you done this and is it safe to still have sex if i do this? tnx

Yes, I take my pill so that I only take the hormone pills and not the placebo pills but I do it for medical reasons. Yes, sometimes it can be safe to take just the hormone pills to delay your period til you come back from vacation but I would recommend double checking with your dr to be on the safe side to see if it would be safe for you to take it this way.

Yes it is fine as long as you give yourself a break at the end of the second pack the period you have then might be heavier and sorer because you did not have a break as normal. I have done this several times and it is fine although when I continued my pack for my wedding I had some spotting although this was probally due to stress! I'm now on the implant and haven't had a period this year although everyone responds differently to the implant! I would recommend it!

Yes, it is safe to continue straight on to your next pack without a break. I do this a couple of times a year as my break always seems to come at the point when I'm going on holiday! You will still be safe.

Yes this is fine, I have done this a couple of times, Drs recommended you dont do it for more than 3 months at a time.

yes thats fine, i always did that when i was going on my hols to! only overlap one month though, your body needs a break. just carry onto the next pack without a break and its still safe, use the whole of the next pack.

I would think that you can still have sex but you may want to ask your doctor if you can continueally use the medication to stay off your peroid for that short period of time.

hi. if you dont want to come on on your holidays then you could see your gp. there are pills out that can delay your period and wont interfere with your contraceptive pill. my sister in law has had them and said they were really good. good luck and enjoy your hols!!!
